About Laith

I have achieved high marks in the subjects I teach, but that's not the reason I will be a good tutor. I am patient, understanding, and kind. I will not hold your failures over you or create any unneeded anxiety. I will simply be here to help and assist you in reaching your potential. I understand the pressures of high school, and will do what I can in my power to make studying easier and more efficient rather than add to your, already high, stress.

About the lesson

My lessons are for any highschool student who wants to reach their potential in mathematics and physics, as well as students in programming courses who are overwhelmed as they start university. I am able to teach all math levels in high school, including extension 2 mathematics.

Lessons are typically 1-2 hours in length. The first lesson is free to build rapport and understand the student's specific needs. I begin by focusing on how the student thinks, in order to build upon what they already know so they can deduce more complex concepts. This ensures they don't just remember the content but understand it. After the concepts are solidified in the student's mind, I make sure to go through practice questions in as many different scenarios as possible, to ensure long-term memory consolidation. In later lessons, I give a quick revision on previous topics to reinforce previous understanding.

I have tutored other students in my grade and lower, as well as family informally, and have received good feedback about my abilities to convey information and help learning.
