About Natasha
My experience of the music world has been dictated by pressure, urgency, and discipline. While these are all incredibly valuable in moderation, the sense of play and joy can be lost when they are not nurtured. I aim to be a music teacher who allows a balance between freedom and discipline and accepts the hard work taken to embark on an instrument whilst truly enjoying the fruits of their labor along the way.

We can approach lessons with Grade goals but I feel a duty to preserve the curiosity and joy that is sometimes lost in the pursuits of grades.
I like for students to sometimes have the freedom to pick a piece they'd like to play, one they've heard and liked, for us to work on alongside more ''important'' pieces and exercises. This is important not only to better understand a students taste and dispositions and to learn auditorily from a start-point of listening rather than just sheet music (both of which are useful) but also to remind students why they are doing it all in the first place: to be able to play what they like.
Lessons should last between 1 hour and 2 hours depending on the student and urgency of the lesson.
I have taught piano as an 'extra' with the other subjects I tutor in but am now looking to teach it as a subject in its own right. I believe I am best fit to teach up to Grade 5.
