I consider that the best way to approach a foreign language is being able to see how one can apply it on a daily basis, in everyday situations. I like presenting the topics using true examples and going to the books afterwards. Songs and videos are extra material I use quite a lot since it is what we are exposed at the most and a great chance to see different uses of the language and mainly, to practice pronunciation. We will acquire grammar through many different exercises, covering the four areas: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
Most important of all is to know what the student goals are, together with their interests, to make lessons interesting and worth it.
