About Charlotte
Hallo!
I’m a qualified Teacher of German and French working in a secondary school in the North East. I graduated from Newcastle University with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education specialising in teaching foreign languages. Before that, I studied at the University of Edinburgh and attained an MA(Hons) in English Literature and German. During and after my studies, I lived in Germany gaining a wealth of experience working in schools and at Diesterweg, a German publisher.
I would love to use my qualifications, knowledge and experience to help you improve your German or French; whether spoken, written, improving your accent, or simply building your vocabulary.

With several years of experience of both learning and teaching foreign languages, I know exactly how to motivate you or your student to make progress. I bring enthusiasm and a relaxed learning environment and I tailor my teaching style according to the needs of each student. I believe the key to success is to build each student's interest and provide them with the confidence to converse, read, write and understand the language. Helping students with education is my passion and I want to share the excitement of language learning! The teaching method includes combining various interesting teaching techniques, and thereby not only focusing on following strict grammar rules, but also using the language in communication of everyday activities with a wealth of resources at my disposal.
