I am a qualified secondary educator with over six years of experience. I have played semi professional basketball in Australia and China, College basketball in USA and coached in many summer league games in Dallas and Houston Texas, USA.

It all depends on the individuals I am teaching. I begin by establishing rapport and a positive culture. I would afford the opportunity for the student to feel empowered and give them some control of their own learning. Vision, goals and priorities will be discussed along with developing and understanding where both our passion lies. I would approach it with a high degree of student engagement, enthusiasm, challenges and fun by way of encouragement and passion. Ensure students know what they are learning and why with a blend of collaborative team and larger group work. Use of technology allowing students to conduct their own research and progressing at their own pace. Multiple forms of assessment and feedback are delivered ie: concurrent, summative and informative are used.
