About Hayden
Hi, I’m Hayden — a qualified and experienced classroom teacher, tutor and mentor specializing in K–6 English and Mathematics, as well as Music.
I’m passionate about helping students grow not just academically, but in confidence and self-belief. I thrive on personal growth and genuinely care about the progress of every student I work with. My approach is structured and explicit: I break concepts down step-by-step, model skills clearly, and ensure students fully understand before moving forward. I believe clarity builds confidence, and confidence builds results.
With strong familiarity of the NSW syllabi and repeated experience teaching across multiple year levels, I understand how skills develop over time and how to identify and address learning gaps effectively. I specialize in one-to-one tutoring, where I can tailor each lesson to the individual, adapt in real time, and build meaningful mentor relationships that support long-term success.

Typical Lesson Length:
My lessons usually run for 1 hour, with structured segments such as warm-up activities, focused work on specific topics, and time for questions and consolidation. The lessons can go longer or shorter - whatever the needs of the child!
Qualifications & Experience:
I have extensive experience working with children from Kindergarten through Year 6, helping them build foundational math skills and develop confidence. I have designed tailored lesson plans that cater to varying levels of ability, ensuring each student progresses at their own pace.
