About Giselle

I gave Spanish classes as a Foreign language to High School students in an international school of Belize, called Q.S.I for two years. However, I am a certified TEFL teacher that have finished a Bachelor's degree program on Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

As a TEFL teacher, I have taught English to Colombian students from UNAD university, in groups of 4 students using virtual environments and synchronic meetings in Skype, Hangouts and Zoom. (concealed information)

I come from two universities that offer innovative teaching programs.

About the lesson

My method and approach will depend on the student's need and objectives. I prefer to have an interview and know my students face to face. My preference is to teach English to Hispanics, and teach Spanish to English native speakers. I like to give a combination of explicit and implicit teaching, and using content or topics from other disciplines or subject areas for teaching language and culture. I like to teach for groups of 2, 3 and 4 students in online classes. I use Zoom as my online classroom for I can share audio and video content in my classes to promote motivation and a good e-classroom environment. I am looking for students who are seriously committed and motivated to learn English or Spanish, and who are on a B1 language level.

Details

The condition for my fees is that classes cannot be canceled 24 hours in advance, but in 48 hours instead. I would not like to waste effort and time in lesson planning if students cancel one day before the class. I do my classes in Zoom, and I don't work on Fridays and Saturdays.
