About Catharine
"Teaching English is often less about grammar rules and more about finding a cultural rhythm. My 11 years living in Italy taught me that language is truly about connection. After moving to Australia, I earned my Master of Arts in TESOL from Macquarie University.
I have spent 6 years refining how I support learners. My focus remains on pronunciation and accent, idioms and expressions, exam speaking practice, reading comprehension, and everyday conversation. Students also work with me on interview preparation, conversational fluency, vocabulary building, and writing skills."

"Since the classroom environment is fundamentally a space for trial and error, I prioritize a relaxed atmosphere for our 6 sessions. Because I have lived the experience of moving to a new country, I understand the nerves that come with speaking a new language.
Students will participate in mock speaking exams with feedback to build confidence before their official tests. These sessions incorporate my 6 years of teaching experience to ensure you are comfortable with the nuances of English. You can expect a supportive, structured environment for all your practice."
