About Sufyan
I am a literary fanatic. I love indulging myself in a universe of words, metaphors, and rhetorics and use these spectral devices to paint entire folklore and histories on the canvas of a page. I love using my words to craft characters.
I am a dreamer. I conjure fantasies within the levees of my brain that run like elixirs in my veins and transport me to realms disjointed from any fragment of reality. The vivid exhilaration of these dreams is where I build kingdoms of my aspirations and desires until those reigning deities transcend into my real life and I am enlivened with the drive to make all those dreams come true.
This ability to believe in a bejeweled existence created solely for an individual to believe in the incarnation of their future is what keeps me determined, confident, and hopeful. This imaginative mastery also allows me to be creative in other avenues.
I use the tip of my insights to shadow the redemption in the crevices beneath a woman's eye until her hopelessness is an abyss caving the canvas from the middle.
This embodiment of the people I birth with my art inherently makes me an empathetic human being. Altruistic affinity and empathy are the attributes that allow any abstraction to restructure itself into concreteness and tangibility. And that perceptibility allows us to be more understanding, benevolent, and solicitous. I believe these characteristics are the root of all artistic dexterity as they help a creator mold themselves into the statue they wish to sculpt and appreciate its individuality.
To satisfy that consideration for people around me, I have delved into numerous personal efforts that in some way or the other bolster conversations around ideas previously ignored by my society or construct an aperture for like-minded people to experience life, independent of another's perception.
The concept anthology that I published earlier this year, 'Teenage Melodrama' is one of those examples. The book, comprised of twenty-two poems interconnected by an over-arching motif, highlights the ignorance and disbelief that transgresses through adolescent lives that further activates the delusions around teenage mental health and real-life problems. The featured poems are influenced by events of my life, and those of the people around me. And their primary purpose is to portray the realness and gravity of the melodrama that is so easily excused by society in the name of immaturity and youth. The themes discussed in this book aim to inspire people to discuss these ideas with clarity and detail to prevent the disillusionment expressed within its diegesis.
