The core of my teaching methodology revolves around the principles of recognition, repetition and applications. The goal of my methodology is to empower students with the tools and knowledge they need as fast as possible so that they are where they want to be as fast as possible. The best tutors are the ones that make themselves obsolete in a short amount of time.
Often times, students struggle to learn a particular subject because there is miscommunication due to information gaps and differences in skill levels between the teacher and student. My role is to identify and bridge that gap of misunderstanding by explaining the subject from multiple angles and providing students with lots of examples so they can grasp the concepts more easily.
After grasping the concept it’s important to retain it and I make sure this is done through ample repetition. I understand that a unique piece of academic information will not get absorbed into the student until he or she has seen it multiple times.
Once the gap is bridged and concepts are absorbed, it’s very important to put everything into application. We will work through not only school problems but also additional problems that will help him or her to grasp the concept faster. We will also try to relate the concept to real life, in a practical way so he or she can see its implications and importance.
I also offer a number of new and unique studying techniques and tools in my lessons. These tools can dramatically speed up the learning process and allow students to apply their knowledge in the most efficient way.
