About Byron
I am a current Masters student, specializing in Neuroscience at the University of Cape Town. I previously graduated with my Honours degree in Psychology, awarded with distinctions and have been on the Dean’s Merit List throughout my undergraduate studies. An academic at heart, I find great purpose tutoring students and sharing my knowledge. I have one year tutoring experience in the high school subjects Mathematics and Accounting. In my free time, my simple pleasures are playing with my cats, listening and dancing to music in my bedroom, and playing video games!

My tutoring style centres active engagement, facilitated through the forging of a comfortable and open relationship with the student, whereby the student is encouraged to ask questions and express uncertainty, ultimately creating a productive and comforting learning environment. I believe in working closely with the student through varies exercises/activities, until the student is confident enough to challenge themselves and do it on their own! Ultimately, I tailor my lessons to the individual needs and preferences of the student, and organize and pace lessons accordingly.
