About Charlotte
I am a student currently pursuing a degree in Modern Languages (German and Russian) with Translation and Transcultural Studies at the University of Warwick, with a year abroad at the University of Regensburg. Most recently I worked as a private tutor, teaching 11+ syllabus and Key Stage 2–3 Mathematics, as well as beginner German. where I developed a strong foundation in effective communication and adaptability while tailoring lesson plans to meet individual learning needs, including students with SEND.
As a tutor, I supported students in building confidence and mastering core academic skills, with a focus on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. I am passionate about languages and education, and promoting personalised learning approaches that empower students. I always attempt to bring a collaborative mindset and a commitment to fostering understanding and progress in diverse educational settings.

Lessons can be from 30 minutes to an hour, covering anything from German grammar and reading to translation and speaking. I tend to work from set homework, going through and focusing on areas of weakness in the student to hone those skills, whilst also ensuring other areas of the language are not neglected. My lessons are appropriate for any level from beginner to intermediate learners of German, but particularly for those at or around GCSE level. I have previous experience teaching beginner German, and have a background in tutoring students with SEND needs.
