About Melisa

WHAT EXPERIENCE HAVE YOU HAD IN TEACHING • I have taught French, English, Italian, Spanish, and Turkish to people from Europe, Norway, Ukraine, Canada, Russia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Lebanon, Algeria, Qatar, Hong Kong, and China. Among these, there were students, analysts, nurses, doctors, government executives, business owners, and personal trainers… • I also offered a range of translation services to notaries and various Consulates around the world. • I have taught Business French to business professionals from the following countries: Italy, Canada, and Turkey. They achieved a confident high level of Business French. • I have tutored students of various ages and backgrounds with excellent exam results and successful outcomes in terms of language fluency. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS • I received my B.A. in International Relations from Koç University in Istanbul. During my academic studies, I was awarded an Erasmus Scholarship to study Politics at SciencesPo Rennes in France with a French curriculum. I also studied as an exchange student at York University in Canada attending bilingual courses of International Organizations and Economics. • During my studies, due to my Italian language level in class, I was awarded twice the Fiat Italia Scholarship to study Italian in Scud’It in Rome and in Scuola di Leonardo da Vinci in Florence. About the lesson

I have had to learn Italian, Spanish, and English myself so I perfectly understand how it feels to learn a new language, and what are the difficulties that one can come across. I have been working as a private language tutor for almost ten years and I am here to make you confident in French! WHICH LANGUAGES YOU CAN IMPROVE I offer French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, and English lessons from beginner to advanced learners. WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF THE LESSONS I split my lessons between grammar, vocabulary, and speaking practice. My aim is to find a balance between theory and its application in a creative way by adapting my method to the individual needs of each learner. My aim is to help you to achieve the best possible results. To do that, when we meet I will: - Discuss with you your current level in language - Define your target level - Create a friendly environment in order to learn and have fun - Support you to gain confidence in language WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS – Improving your listening and conversation skills – Explaining grammar rules – Introducing new vocabulary using specific learning methods – Enhancing your writing
