About Carla

I'm a passionate and devoted English teacher with experience in teaching students across all ages from all walks of life in an interesting, relaxed and fun environment.
Having an extraordinary command of the English language, I teach English that is efficiently and productively tailored to the needs and comfort of every student.
I have qualifications in Architecture/Design, Lead Auditing (QA/QC), Teaching, Business Administration and Real Estate. In addition, I have legal experience acquired from acting as a Case File Manager and Paralegal at the Law courts.
My primary hobbies are landscape photography, writing, philosophy and fitness.
Being a deep-thinker, I take epistemology seriously which stakes a high degree of responsibility and accountability. Moreover, being a polymath has surplussed my skill set to become diversely knowledgeable across elected technical and creative subjects which promote students with reaping benefits.
I can provide advice and/or guidance and/or mentoring to students on co-related or other areas of interest within the scope of my knowledge and credible sources of research. This asset is further reinforced with my inherent blueprint of personal and professional qualities.
I teach all areas of the English language including Business and/or professional English and provide personalized learning and post-learning support to students.
I am very patient, supportive and enthusiastic about what I do, and my goal is to bring each student to the realm of lasting success and support them to achieve their goals with the proviso of making a significantly positive impact on their lives.
My aim is to help each student be their very best and be "at the top of the game" by acquiring additional skills to succeed at a personal and professional level and the best part is that I'm only an electronic command away.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is applied in accordance with the learning and developmental needs of every student as every student is unique and special. My tutoring lessons cater for individual lessons as well as group lessons given the preference of the student. My methodology comprises of applied principles and techniques that enable efficient learning from beginners level to mastery level across any discipline or literary context.
I carry-out an initial learning profile/educational assessment to determine the learning profile (incl. strengths and weaknesses) supported with a fluency assessment to determine the competency level of each student in the English language as it bears impact on the well-being, cognitive development and overall learning success of every student.
It would be fair to say that my benchmark teaching methodology is akin to the Finnish teaching system which is renowned for being the most efficient in the world.
I provide broad English teaching ranging from school English to Master/Specialist level English addressing all aspects of the English language inclusive of complex and/or specialized language applications. Additionally, I do ESL, TEFL and IELTS.
Each lesson is professionally designed and prepared to meet the needs and wants of each student in view of the progress they ought to make and the goals they must achieve to become fluent in English within realistic expectations.

Details

To secure your lesson, payment must be made via electronic bank transfer or in cash prior to the commencement of each lesson. An invoice with receipt will be issued upon every payment made in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated.
Shall I be required to travel to meet with the student, a fee of $5 applies to a travel distance up to and including 20km.

I only travel distances between 20 km and 40 km to teach group lessons incurring an additional $15 travel fee that may be appreciated.

Alight of the above, I am more than happy to also assist you in the comfort of your University, TAFE or College campus at your convenience within my given availability.

Please note that every student is required to provide acceptable forms of ID either as an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or Visa holder.
