About Hailey
I am a second year teacher who recently graduated from Texas State University. I have loved teaching ever since I was able to intern at a local elementary school my last year of high school. Being able to see my students change and grow has been such an amazing experience and I would love to help you with one or more subject areas! I believe that it's okay if we are not perfect at anything because it gives us room to grow; I will always root for you and give positive feedback!

- I have a student centered philosophy of education where students are able to grow and explore any subject without fear of failing and having a support system the child up and make them feel safe and comfortable.
- I believe that it is completely normal to get answers wrong and see it as a way to always improve!
- A typical lesson will consist of a " I do" where I demonstrate the concept or skill, a "we do" where the student and I both work together to solve a problem, and finally a "you do" where students are able to independently do a question.
- I always scaffold instruction to make sure students feel comfortable with a concept before they attempt it by themselves.
- These lessons are for any child from k-6 in any subject! I currently teach 3rd grade math/science/social studies but am certified for all subjects in early childhood through 6th grade!
