About Nvelyn
I am a 3rd grade teacher and Cheer coach and I believe learning should be FUN! I love to read, and I love to help others learn to love to read also. I love hanging out with my family, going to waterparks, watching sports (what's your favorite team?), going to the movies, and drawing and painting. My favorite thing about teaching third-grade is my students, their personalities and individuality, I may be the teacher but they teach me something new all of the time.

My teaching method is to meet students where they are at, identify deficits or gaps in learning and work from there. You cannot leap frog development! With reading it is important to understand that in grades K - 1 students are learning to read in grades 2 and beyond they are reading to learn. Lessons are always adjusted to meet students skill set and proficiency. Lessons aim to cover all tenets and allow time for student mastery with practice and reinforcement, lessons are not rushed in an effort to ensure students feel confident in their ability. As a former RBT I am proficient in lesson differentiation and using a variety of ABA strategies to drive instruction and retention.
