About Jacek

I hold the qualifications required to work with people with disabilities and additional support needs, and I work in partnership with Hertfordshire Council, the Polish Federation of Far Eastern Martial Arts and Combat Sports, Kyudokai Martial Arts Association UK, and UFR World. However, I firmly believe that certificates and qualifications alone are never enough. Patience, kindness, respect and treating every individual as a person—not a diagnosis—are the values that guide every session I teach.

If you are the parent of a child with a disability, or if you yourself are living with a health condition or physical limitations, you may have asked yourself many times whether physical activity is really something for you or your child. Perhaps you've wondered:
"Will I be able to dot?"
"Will my child cope?"
"What if everyone else is better than us?"
"Where do we even begin?"
If any of these thoughts sound familiar, I'd like to tell you one very important thing.
You don't need to know where to start – that's my job.
I don't expect you to arrive fit, experienced or confident. You don't need any sporting background, and you certainly don't need to prove anything. You don't even have to believe from the very beginning that this will work.
All you need to do is take that first step and come along.
Our first meeting is not a test or an assessment. It's simply an opportunity for us to sit down, talk, and get to know each other. I want to understand you or your child's abilities, any concerns you may have, and what you hope to achieve. Only then, if you feel comfortable, we'll try a few very simple exercises together—at your own pace, with no pressure and absolutely no comparisons with anyone else.
It doesn't matter whether you can run, walk a few steps with support, or use a wheelchair. It doesn't matter what type or level of disability you have. What matters is finding a safe and comfortable way for you to be active.

This is exactly why our programme is called Adaptive Boxing Experience (ABX). For us, the word Adaptive means that the training adapts to the individual—not the other way around.
Of course, regular physical activity can improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility and overall fitness. But from my experience, the most important changes happen somewhere much deeper.
Over time, people begin to believe in themselves again. Confidence grows. Independence increases. Fear of trying something new slowly gives way to enjoyment and achievement. Some of the happiest moments I witness are when someone realises they can do something they genuinely believed was impossible only a few weeks earlier.

Those moments are the reason I do what I do.
For many years I have worked as a martial arts instructor and have continued to develop the Adaptive Boxing Experience programme to provide safe, inclusive and personalised training for people with a wide range of abilities and health conditions.

If, after reading this, you're still unsure whether these sessions would be right for you or your child, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

You don't have to make any decisions straight away. Let's simply have a conversation.
I'll be happy to answer your questions, listen to your concerns and help you decide whether this could be the right path for you.
Sometimes the hardest part isn't the training itself. It's finding the courage to take that very first step.
If you're willing to take that step, I promise we'll walk the rest of the journey together.
