About John
I am a fresh graduate from Oxford University with a BA in Jurisprudence. Tutoring has been something I have done on the side because I find it rewarding to help promising students reach their full potential. I am looking to take on a few students for this application cycle, as I await beginning my postgraduate studies for the Bachelor of Civil Law at Oxford University later this year.
As for my qualifications, I graduated with a First Class degree from Oxford University ranking 3rd in my cohort. Thus, given the nature of Oxbridge Law Interviews, which mimic the style of Oxbridge tutorials and involve debating difficult legal issues, I can provide realistic mock interviews and constructive feedback. I also know what interviewers are looking for, having succeeded not only in my Oxford admissions interview, but also in applying for pupillage at a preeminent commercial set of chambers in Hong Kong.
When applying to be admitted to Oxford University, I scored 39/42 on the LNAT. My college also exceptionally agreed to hold my offer for 2 years while I completed national service in Singapore. I have experience providing personal statement feedback in support of my high school's university counselling programme as well as on a pro bono basis for various access programmes.

Mock Interviews - A typical session would involve a 30-minute mock interview designed to simulate what you could expect from an Oxford Law Admissions interview followed by 30 minutes of feedback.
LNAT Tutoring - Depending on the student's stage of preparation, a session may involve general tips and advice, or more specific attention to questions that the student found particularly challenging. A typical session would be 60 minutes.
Personal Statement Feedback - Each round of feedback will involve a couple of hours of backend work by me, reading and annotating the student's draft. Written feedback will be returned to the student, followed up with a 30-minute oral feedback session. Billing will be per round of feedback rather than by time (see "Packs" rate below).
