About Sergio
I've been competing in long-distance triathlons for the last 6 years, in that time I spent a lot of time progressing from just getting by my swims to now powering through them. When I was learning how to swim I spent hours watching swim tutorials and practicing drills with little success until I actually started swimming with a coach and a team. The ability to actively receive feedback on my stroke, and not just rely on what I thought I was doing is what took me from I can survive the swim, to I can compete in the swim.
Outside of endurance sports I'm a data nerd, poet, and percussionist.

My Method & Typical Lesson Plan
I use a "principle-first" approach, focusing on hydrodynamics, breath control, and core alignment to make swimming feel effortless rather than exhausting. A typical 50-minute session includes:
0-10 mins: Dynamic warm-up and breath-pacing drills.
10-30 mins: Targeted technical progression (focusing on body roll, catch mechanics, or kick efficiency).
30-45 mins: Main endurance or conditioning set tailored to your current fitness level.
45-50 mins: Cool-down and mindful stroke review.

Sergio is simply amazing.
My son is a tough cookie, and I really mean it. He is super active and hard to keep focused, plus not fluent in English, but Sergio was able to connect with him and keep classes entertaining and educational. My son always looks forward to swim class with Sergio.Sergio is a very knowledgeable and attentive swimming instructor!
