About Paramjit
I hold a Trinity College London Grade 7 Merit which is one of the highest internationally recognised practical certifications in guitar performance — and have been teaching guitar for over 15 years.
I'm based in New Delhi and teach online students across India and globally. My students include complete beginners who've never held a guitar, working professionals learning as adults, and students preparing seriously for Trinity Grade exams.
What I bring that most teachers don't: studying how people learn and adopt new skills. I understand why students plateau, why practice feels unproductive, and how to fix both. My lessons are structured around how students actually learn.
In all these years of teaching I have seen one pattern repeat: students who quit do so because they don't feel progress. I design every lesson specifically to prevent that — you will leave each session knowing exactly what improved and exactly what to do next.
I teach: Classical guitar, acoustic guitar, fingerstyle technique, song arrangements, music theory, staff notation, ear training, and Trinity Grade 1–7 preparation.

There are two kinds of guitar students I work especially well with:
The Adult Learner — You've always wanted to play guitar properly. You're busy, you don't have 2 hours a day to practice, and you've tried YouTube tutorials that went nowhere. I will give you a structured, personalised plan that produces real, visible progress — even with 20–30 minutes of daily practice.
The Exam Candidate — You're preparing for a Trinity College London Grade exam (Grades 1–7) and want a teacher who knows the syllabus inside-out, not one who's just guessing. I have studied and performed at Grade 7 level myself. I know exactly where students lose marks and how to fix it before the exam.
Every lesson includes:
— Technique work (right hand, left hand, posture, tone production)
— Repertoire or song of your choice
— One focused skill — scales, sight-reading, ear training, or theory
— A written practice plan sent after class so you know exactly what to do
Your first lesson is completely free. We'll assess where you are, discuss your goals, and you'll leave with a clear learning roadmap — whether or not you book again.
