About Troy
My name is Troy Evans, and I've been playing piano for over 10 years. I studied classical piano and music theory, and I've performed in recitals, accompanied ensembles, and taught students of all ages for the last 8 years. I also work with students preparing for grade exams, school performances, auditions, or simply playing for enjoyment. My students trust me because I'm patient, enthusiastic, and I take time to understand their musical interests and goals. I've helped nervous beginners build confidence, adult learners rediscover their love for music, and exam students achieve results they're proud of. With me, you'll develop real technical skill and a lasting appreciation for the music you create.

Hi, I'm Troy Evans. I've taught piano for 8 years, and my approach combines technical precision with creative exploration across classical, jazz, and contemporary styles. I work with students of all ages — from young beginners to adults returning to the piano after years away. My lessons cover proper posture, hand position, finger strength, sight-reading, and music theory. I introduce repertoire that matches your level and interests, from Baroque and Classical sonatas to jazz standards, pop songs, and film scores. I also teach effective practice strategies so you can make steady progress between lessons. My teaching is patient, insightful, and encouraging — I challenge you to grow while keeping the experience enjoyable and meaningful.
