About Elodie
My first language is French. I spoke it at home and still do. I did all my schooling in French and received my French Baccalaureate. Then I went on to university at UC Berkeley. I have been tutoring students in French for the last 7 years (online and in person). I was also an English teacher abroad for a year. I taught middle and high schoolers how to improve their oral communication skills. I enjoy teaching and learning new ways to help students learn and understand the language. French is a complex language that I used to struggle with as a child. Now I love teaching students the many rules and the many more exceptions to those rules and untangling the complexity of the language with them. From beginners to advanced students, I can work with them to help them achieve their goal.

I was born in France and did all my schooling in French until I went to UC Berkeley for undergraduate. I love teaching and have been a French tutor for over 6 years. I always personalize my lessons to work with my students' needs and their individual learning methods. I have worked with students as young as 3 years old confusing English and French all the way to 60-year-old students learning a new language during retirement.
