Cynthia and I met about twenty years ago at Cal State East Bay where she is an English professor and I am a budget analyst. Our paths professionally crossed when she worked on a grant with me where she was offering writing workshops and tutoring graduate and doctoral students. Cynthia has an excellent reputation at CSUEB as a fair and intelligent educator. She has written textbooks for her own courses. If you want to REALLY learn, you will enjoy working with Cynthia.

She is one of the most dedicated educators I have ever seen. She deeply cares about her students' success and creates material to increase their knowledge and abilities to write more efficiently. She has created her own book of essays to use in her classes and every year she updates the essays and/or brings in other essays on current topics her students may be interested in writing about. She is very patient with her students as well and is very supportive. I can't think of anyone more qualified or willing to work with students than Cynthia. She would be a great asset for any student to have in order to improve his or her writing skills.
