About Hassan
I am currently a third-year student studying Accounting with Finance at the University of Portsmouth. I have ambitions of completing my qualifications and becoming a chartered accountant soon.
I have volunteered to tutor children in the past, through teaching karate. Having achieved my black belt in 2017, I have been actively been helping the club through volunteering weekly. The results are very rewarding, especially when you see students’ progress onto the next belt!
My teaching style is delivered through having a positive mindset and explaining the topic slowly, ensuring the student has comprehended it. Afterwards, the student will practice the topic individually through answering questions which I would have pre-planned. Through assessing the quality of the work, I would assess whether the student is confident with the topic.
I can teach English, History and Mathematics, having excelled in these topics at GCSE and A-Levels. I have excellent communication skills and can explain information very clearly. I possess excellent English and am very passionate to help people progress.

Our karate training helps to imbue confidence and self discipline. Hassan has always been respectful to instructors and to fellow students.
After eight years of dedicated karate training at our club, Hassan passed his 1st dan black belt in Shotokan karate in 2016.
He continued to show enthusiasm during the class and it was evident that he was keen to progress his skills.
He now trains when he can and often helps as a volunteer coach for our young students. Hassan is well liked by our members.
