Welcome to Tutoring with Dr. Cole. My name is Brian, and I am deeply committed to guiding students toward realizing their fullest potential.
I hold a Doctorate of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University, in addition to advanced degrees in Chemistry, Materials Science, and Computer Science. Over the course of my career, I have taught, tutored, and mentored learners across a wide spectrum of educational levels, ranging from elementary school students to advanced graduate researchers. My approach to teaching combines patience, intellectual rigor, and encouragement, while always emphasizing joy.
What distinguishes my tutoring practice is not only the breadth of my expertise across the sciences, mathematics, and technology, but also my dedication to cultivating confidence, emotional intelligence, and intellectual curiosity in every student. I recognize that each individual learns in a distinctive way, and I design every session to align with the student’s unique strengths, goals, and challenges.
