About Daniel
I’m a 24-year-old law graduate with First Class Honours (LLB) from Aberystwyth University, where I was recognised with multiple academic awards in Public Law, Law in Action, and Intellectual Property Law. This September, I will begin my LLM in Intellectual Property Law at Durham University on a scholarship. My academic journey has been shaped by determination — after underperforming in my A Levels due to overconfidence, I reflected, adapted, and went on to graduate as a highly valued alumnus of Aberystwyth. I’ve turned down several other postgraduate offers, including withdrawing my Cambridge application, because Durham offers the specialist LLM in Intellectual Property Law that aligns with my passion. My current research interests include genetic resource patenting, its intersection with ecocide, and the potential benefits and challenges of AI within these areas. Outside of academia, I enjoy films, TV, and staying active — you’ll often find me at the gym or training for a triathlon.
