About Ribkah

In my viewpoint, the interpersonal relationships between me and my students are one of the most important aspects of my tutoring approach. Through respect, empathy, warmth, and genuineness, I believe my students will feel comfortable studying with me.
Furthermore, I will start my class by knowing what are the needs of my student, his/her targets, expectations from the class, areas s/he struggle with, the learning tech that s/he are familiar with, and what kind of learning styles that suitable for him/her. I will then prepare a lesson that suits them best. Clear communication between my student and me is a pertinent part of successful tutoring.
My lesson will be a 1-hour class. Within that one hour, I will emphasize my student’s ability on how to communicate in the target language, for instance asking and answering questions, making requests, narrating, describing, and comparing. I will also motivate my students to be critical thinkers through task assignments and problem-solving. I believe that students improve fluency by communicating in the target language rather than by scrutinizing it. Furthermore, I will also give task-based learning in refining the communicative approach. It will be focused on the completion of specific tasks through the target language. Students will improve their language skills through learning a specific theme and completing a variety of assignments, acquiring new structures, forms, and vocabulary as necessary. All of these will be personalized based on the needs of each student.
