About Faris
I’m an established VFX Artist and Editor with nearly 12 years of professional experience in the media and post-production industry. I have extensive knowledge of both creative and technical workflows and have worked on high-profile productions and campaigns for well-known brands.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across multiple areas of the visual side of media, taking on roles as both a creative artist and supervisor. This has given me a broad understanding of the entire post-production process, from editing and VFX through to technical workflows and professional delivery.
I’m highly technically minded, with experience across Mac, Windows and Linux systems, alongside professional knowledge of industry-standard software and workflows. I combine this technical understanding with a strong creative approach, allowing me to solve both creative and technical challenges effectively.
My aim as a tutor is to pass on this real-world industry experience and give students the confidence, knowledge and practical skills they need to develop their own work and understand professional post-production.

My tutoring style is flexible and tailored to each student. Lessons can be short, focused sessions to quickly build your knowledge, or in-depth sessions designed to develop professional, industry-level skills.
I have a BA (Hons) in Editing and Post Production and nearly 12 years of industry experience. I currently work at a leading post-production house in London, working on high-end campaigns for well-known brands.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, but I can adapt the length depending on your needs. I teach students of all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to those looking to pursue a career in the media industry.
My goal is to help you become confident in both the creative and technical aspects of editing and VFX, giving you the practical skills to tackle real-world challenges and professional workflows.
