About Fahima

Throughout my education, I have been driven to achieve to the best of my ability, helping and inspiring those around me. I am a business enthusiast, currently studying a Management with a finance degree in the heart of Pearson College London, a FTSE 100 company. Prior to this, I studied English Literature at AS Level, alongside Biology, History and Economics; a key to success and understanding in any subject is having a good knowledge of English, which is what I aim to teach students. Though I have not personally taught a group, whilst at School I was always the student other students came to, thus arranging classes and support sessions myself to help everybody succeed, even at Univeristy. This is the type of motivation I aim to bring the students to help achieve the best they can.

About the lesson

I am currently studying business management and finance degree at University and I want to provide lessons to those studying A Level or GCSEs in English specifically, Literature or Language. The subject area I can teach is not just limited to English; I can teach History (achieved a Grade A* at GCSE and A at A level) and Economics (achieved a grade A). At GCSE, I achieved 6 A*'s in History, English Literature, Art, Business Studies, Religious Studies and Core Science and 4 A's in Maths, English Language, German and Additional Science. My ability to motivate myself to achieve these grades, is the type of motivation I aim to help you achieve.

The methods of teaching I would take is splitting all the topics up, according to the brief or Specification and divide this by the number of weeks we have till the exam, for example, to ensure to get through all the content before the exam. On top of this, revision of the topic learnt through mini tests can be conducted after the sessions to help learn the content effectively. The techniques of instruction include going through content to help your understanding, then memorisation techniques through a variety of activities. Although the techniques and methods vary; one key point of advice is that Consistency is key.

Details

The rates will differ between a GCSE student, to an A level student of a cost of 10% more (£16.50) per class. The cancellation policy is 24 hours before to let me know otherwise the full cost of the lesson will be charged by email, text or call to cancel.
