About Jessica
Hi, my name is Jess and I'm 20 and have been playing the flute for over 10 years. I am currently working on my AMEB AmusA for flute (associate), and will continue on to do my licentiate and fellowship. Although I am classically trained, I do enjoy exploring other genres such as, Jazz, rock, and beatbox. I have experience in teaching friends due to my old highschool temporarily not having a flute teacher.

I like to personalise my teaching method for each student. Each student has their own flare and own personality that shows in the instrument. I want to encourage students to find their own musical personality and to allow that to influence everything they play, whether it be scales/warm ups or pieces. As well as pieces, we will work on scales, posture, breathing, timbre, embouchure, and much more. Students also have the opportunity to pursue AMEB levels. This may be good for people still in school because once you have completed AMEB grade 7 in an instrument, you get an automatic ATAR of 84.95 or and automatic OP of 8.
