Two day workshop either online or face to face for mainstream/ESL teachers

Duration : 12 hours over 2 days - Price : $200.00 - Place : North SydneyI am a Primary School Teacher in NSW who has designed a 2 day PowerPoint presentation workshop to delve into what it means to become an ESL Teacher. Through my own qualification and experience over many years, it is clear to me that there are fundamental differences in teaching English to students from other language backgrounds rather than native English students. This active interactive online workshop or face to face workshop at an arranged location is designed to cater for all teachers or ones interested in seeing if they want to become qualified to teach ESL/EALD within NSW. The insight into what actually sits behind this position by interactive real scenarios and the pedagogy to teach LABOTE students of all ages, is evident to see more is involved than just rote learning or mainstream teaching. Through actual participation and assessment, the overall aim is to see the skills, resources and methodology behind this English position plus the resource bank gained is required to gain qualifications to this specialised position.
Please note: This is an introductory 2 day workshop to determine if the students of this workshop want to seek the qualifications for the actual teaching position. Everyone who attends becomes much better equipped to teach ESL regardless of the motivation to attend.
