About Chan
I'm a second-year Law student at UCL, originally from Hong Kong. Alongside my degree, I've gained legal experience through internships both at global prominent law firms and barristers' chambers. Having recently gone through the law application process myself, with acceptances from 5 top universities in the UK, I aim to help students feel confident and prepared for theirs. I know applications can feel difficult to write but I want to help students present their best self to top UK schools.

I'm a second-year Law student at UCL, so I've been through the whole law application process myself very recently; I have experience applying to and being accepted at top universities in the UK.
How I teach: Every student starts with a diagnostic, a timed Section A practice and a short essay, so I can see exactly where you're losing marks. From there, lessons are tailored to you.
Section A: I have a clear method for breaking down passages and spotting trap answers, then we build speed with timed practice.
Section B: We work on planning, structuring a sharp argument and dealing with counterarguments and thinking on the spot. I give detailed written feedback on every practice essay.
UCAS Applications: I help you find what makes you stand out, structure it, and show genuine interest in law without the clichés admissions tutors see every day.
Lessons: 60 minutes, online. I can also give feedback on essays and statement drafts between sessions.
Who it's for: Year 12–13 and IB students applying to UK law schools, including international students. I understand the extra challenges of applying from abroad.
