About Talha

Hello, I’m Talha, a doctor working in the NHS and a UCL Medicine graduate with over seven years of tutoring experience. With an A* in A-Level Maths, I’m strong on the mathematical side of Physics, which is where many students lose marks. I’m calm, patient and thorough, and no question is too basic. About the lesson

GCSE Physics is much easier when you understand the equations, the units and the reasoning, not just the formulae. I teach it with a strong emphasis on maths skills, equation handling and clear explanations, so students can tackle calculation and extended-answer questions with confidence.

Who the lessons are for

GCSE Physics students (Foundation and Higher) across AQA, Edexcel and OCR
Students who find equations, rearranging formulae and unit conversions difficult
Students who lose marks on six-mark questions or required practical questions

How I teach

Specification-led: every lesson is mapped to your board’s specification.
Recap quiz first: a short starter quiz on the previous topic.
Clear explanations: I use an interactive whiteboard to build ideas step by step, from forces and energy to waves, electricity and atomic structure.
Equation and maths support: a systematic approach to rearranging, substituting and checking units.
Exam-style practice: questions in the style of the real papers, with guidance on command words and how to write full-mark extended answers.
Progress tracker and reports: a specification checklist, a written report after every lesson and a monthly overview.

Lesson format
Online, typically 60 to 120 minutes, with extra sessions available before exams.
