About Alyssa
I am a graduate of biological sciences BSc from the university of east Anglia (1st class honours) as well as molecular medicine MSc (distinction). I am currently an NRPDTP PhD candidate at the Norwich medical school studying fatty acid metabolism during the immune response. In college I had access to private tuition and it made all the difference to my grades and ultimately my career path as it instilled in me a sense of belonging, I knew that biology was the way for me and ever since then I haven’t stopped finding new things that interest me and new ways to get involved. I have been tutoring school pupils for the past 2 years preparing them for GCSEs and A levels, I have also volunteered at the Norwich Science Festival getting involved in Science Communication. I want to teach to help students realise their potential when it comes to biology, just like my tutors did for me. I am fully DBS checked to work with minors and can provide character or academic references.

The way I tutor is very student led, nobody knows what a student needs to succeed better than they do in terms of content they struggle with or the particular way they learn. I tailor my lessons to be completely what is needed, whether that is re-teaching content then trying exam questions, or if it’s just going through past papers and mastering the ways to answer them. I am here to help you succeed, I have knowledge, skills and a passion for biology that I want to pass on!

£15 an hour is the rate for online tutoring, the rate is reduced when purchasing packs. An additional cost is added for travel as this takes time and money, I am limited to where I can travel to.
