About Timothy
I have been a teacher and tutor for over twenty years. In addition to Spanish, I have taught English, Mathematics as well as a variety of science classes including chemistry, biology and Earth science. I create a very relaxed learning environment and am well adapted to zone into a particular client’s needs. I prefer to teach in a symbiotic fashion. Students communicate to me where they need the most help and I devise a strategy to meet those learning needs.

Learning with me is fun! I’m passionate about teaching and create a relaxed environment conducive to learning. I always ensure students do not try to translate “word for word” and instead think of language as more of a process. Although a Hispanic individual would understand if you asked, word for word, “what is your name?”…Spanish speakers, however, would ask “¿Cómo te llamas?” Which literally translates to “How do you call yourself?” I’m passionate and fun and have unique insight and experience teaching foreign language
