About Krisha
I believe in helping students build a strong foundation in academics by learning both effectively and in an engaging manner. With a strong academic background in Applied Computer Science, I have a deep understanding of programming, mathematics, and science, and tailor my teaching methods according to each student's learning needs. I also actively help my juniors and first-year university students, guiding them through courses I've already completed. Whether it's programming, data structures, or any subject I've mastered, I offer my experience to ensure they succeed. This not only strengthens my own understanding but also allows me to share the insights and strategies that helped me excel in those courses. I believe all students are capable of achieving, and my aim is to help you not just understand tough concepts but also execute them confidently. Throughout each lesson, active learning and practical exercise are paramount, and the subject is approached with everyday examples, breaking down what may be intimidating topics into something more accessible. With each lesson starting by reaffirming the familiar, new content is discussed in depth with demonstrations, leading up to independent problem-solving in which you build both confidence and independence. What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for teaching and commitment to your success. As a tutor, my goal is to establish understanding, confidence, and independence in my students. I tailor my instruction to each individual's learning style, using active learning techniques, hands-on activities, and real-life examples to make complex ideas clear. I focus on problem-solving, so students not only understand the topic but can apply it confidently.
Each lesson begins with a brief review, followed by presenting new material with explicit explanations and guided practice. Then students complete problem sets independently, and we wrap up with a review and any clarification required. This is a confidence-generating while reinforcing the key points kind of format.
My passion for teaching and vast experience with subjects like programming, math, and science differentiate me. I instruct a growth mindset and critical thinking, wherein students are made to embrace challenges and failures as chances to grow. I also focus on integrating real-life situations into practice in an effort to make learning a reality.
