About Eliza
In 2021, I graduated from The Mary Erskine School where I achieved straight A's in all of my Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher subjects. I was especially strong in Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry and History. After, I accepted an offer from St. Andrews University to study Economics. Between 2020 and 2024, I was employed as a hockey coach for Hockey Academy and a Hospitality staff member for Selective Personnel. Both roles gave me valuable experience working with people of different personalities and ages and taught me the importance of good teamwork skills, time management and reliability. This year, in my third year, I have been studying at Western University in Canada where I am currently employed by their Economics department as a tutor. I help first and second year students with their micro- and macro-economics, finance and maths courses. My passions include field hockey, travelling and baking!

Typically, I base my lessons on understanding the key concepts and course material before moving on to solving practice problems and exam preparation. I cater my lessons to suit the learning style and preferences of my students. My lessons range from 45 mins to 2 hours, depending on the needs and availability of my students. I have experience tutoring primary and secondary, GCSE, Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher mathematics courses. Having also studied further maths at University, I am able to teach senior school children of all ages and abilities.
