About Contreras,
Hello! I am a native Tagalog speaker and an undergraduate BS Psychology student at PLSP. I am passionate about teaching and helping students develop confidence in using the Filipino language. With my background in Psychology, I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to match each learner's pace, needs, and learning style.
I strive to create a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves. As a BS Psychology undergraduate and a native Tagalog speaker, I believe that learning becomes more effective when students feel comfortable, encouraged, and actively involved. My teaching approach is student-centered, using interactive discussions, storytelling, real-life examples, games, and simple exercises to make Tagalog enjoyable and easy to understand. A typical lesson includes a short review, introduction of new vocabulary or grammar, guided practice, and engaging activities to strengthen learning.
