About Marcellin
I am an undergraduate student at the Uni of Edinburgh who studies Maths & Stats. I am an avid sportsman and do play the piano from time to time. Playing a lot of sport has helped me develop my communication skills by becoming more concise, succinct and understanding of different perspectives.
I am also in the process of undertaking a "Mathematical Education" module at university which looks at the psychology behind learning, understanding why people learn maths, how to get them to enjoy learning maths and how to teach it.

My Lessons are very interactive, I find it is easier for students to learn when we talk about the content and get them to explain their thought process throughout problem solving, from start to finish so that we can both identify where mistakes occur but also reinforce the strengths.
I start by getting my students to explain what they think the material is and how they interpret it before I come in and both add to and refine it, and follow on by doing examples so that they can see and understand my thought process. The lesson continues with us doing examples together and then my student doing examples independently all while vocalising their thoughts.
I earnt a Grade 9 at GCSE and an A* at A-Level in Maths following the A-Level curriculum.
My Lessons are for pre-GCSE, GCSE and A-Level Students and last anywhere between 30mins -1hr, aiming to improve their mathematical abilities and feel confident in their skills
