About Naavya
Hello! I’m a History undergraduate at the University of Oxford with a strong academic background (4 A*s at A-level and all A*s at GCSE, Distinction in first year exams). I teach English and Maths up to GCSE level and can also support students preparing for the 11+ exam, having attended the Henrietta Barnett School. I enjoy tutoring because I know first-hand how transformative clear explanations, structured practice and confidence-building can be. My aim is to make learning accessible and encouraging so that students feel equipped to reach their goals.

My teaching approach is student-centred and flexible. I begin by assessing each learner’s current level, goals, and preferred learning style. From there, I break topics into clear, manageable steps and use a mixture of explanation, guided practice, and real-world examples to make the material engaging and relevant. I encourage active participation—asking questions, solving problems, and reflecting on mistakes—to build confidence and independence. I also adapt my methods regularly based on feedback and progress so that lessons stay effective and motivating
