About Maya
Hello! My name is Maya and I am an undergraduate junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying Biochemistry and Classical Studies. I started tutoring in my hometown five years ago and have experience working with students in middle and high school mainly in the subjects of math and chemistry. I understand (especially from my own student experience) that the learning curve, often with regard to scientific concepts can be daunting. Students have different styles of learning new material and I always strive to address these academic challenges with flexible approaches that facilitate both understanding and application of knowledge.

The typical structure of my lesson plans involves content review at an individualized pace supplemented with applicable guided practice problems.
