About Poppy

Hi! 你好 I am a native Mandarin speaker and a Masters student studying secondary teaching (learning ares in TESOL and languages) at University of Melbourne. In 2019, I have completed my Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in linguistics at ANU. I have achieved scores above 40 in VCE Chinese First Language in 2016. I have previously tutored two students with no knowledge in Chinese for more than one year. I am also happy to help people who are interested in learning everyday Chinese language and culture!

About the lesson

Student's learning needs are always the priority of my lesson. My teaching style can be flexible and differentiated based on student's prior knowledge and learning progress. My lessons can be communicative language focused, Specific micro skills focused or exam preparation that help students to improve overall proficiency in Chinese language.
