I like to have interactive and discussion based tutoring sessions. We can work through essay topics and questions and develop an approach for how to "tackle" the essay so that it becomes second nature when exams come around. For learning concepts, I like to explain, draw and engage in discussion where it is clear that you understand the concept to a high degree. I like to mix up my sessions but make sure that we are highly engaged, that there are key takeaway points from the session, and a plan for what to do until our next session.
