About Peter
I'm Peter, a 26-year-old Design Engineering student who has recently moved to Bristol after growing up in London.
At 17, I left my A-levels after finding the traditional format of education did not suit my learning style. Although I had performed strongly at GCSE, I struggled with attendance, engagement and the structure of classroom learning.
After several years working in service-based roles, I began to reassess my relationship with education. A recent ADHD diagnosis also helped me understand why I had struggled with its structure despite being academically capable. Returning to study has given me a much clearer sense of how differently people learn and what effective support can look like.
I understand firsthand that struggling at school does not necessarily reflect a lack of ability. I want to help students who find conventional teaching difficult by offering patient, personalised support, clear feedback and lesson plans adapted to their individual needs.

About the lesson

My lessons are focused on identifying the areas a student finds difficult and working through them clearly, step by step. I work from the student's current understanding so that new concepts and methods are properly understood and remembered.
Lessons can focus on general support, specific topics or exam prep. I offer tuition for Years 7-11, including Foundation and Higher GCSE Maths.
I achieved an A* in GCSE Maths and recently completed an Access to Engineering course with distinctions in all 45 graded credits, covering algebra, trigonometry, statistics, mechanics and calculus. I am now studying Design Engineering at the University of Bristol.
