About Ayesha
Hi! I'm Ayesha, a first-year dental surgery student at the University of Birmingham. Prior to this, I studied A-levels at college in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. The most exciting aspect of my degree is the way it pushes your boundaries, making each step forward just that much sweeter. It is also a field where learning never stops, there are always new breakthroughs, which really inspired me to pursue this career path. This degree has given me additional experience with BMAT, UCAT and MMIs.
I have experience in tutoring both young children and young adults, all at different stages of learning, altogether I have tutored about 20 students in biology, and a few others in surrounding subjects such as chemistry and geography.

I provide self-made powerpoints and question banks with my lessons.
I feel as though it is vital for students to have a safe space where they can build the confidence to answer questions as well as ask them. It can be difficult to ask for help in a classroom setting, which is why I aim to encourage students to make mistakes now to avoid making them in an exam. Another aspect of teaching I like to focus on includes incorporating exam technique into content delivery, to build good habits among students and maximise marks in assessments; knowing content is important, but exam technique can be the difference between grades.
