About Akinola
My name is Jamaldeen, and teaching the Quran is not just a job for me—it is my lifelong passion and purpose. I was blessed to complete the memorisation of the Holy Quran at a young age, earning the title of Hafiz. This journey instilled in me a deep love for the Arabic language and Islamic history, which led me to pursue my University Degree in Arabic and Transnational Studies (graduating this October).Over the past 10 years, I have dedicated my time to teaching young children. I choose to teach because I believe that the early years of a child's life are the most critical for shaping their identity, character (Akhlaq), and relationship with the book of Allah.Many children in Western countries find learning Arabic or Quran online to be repetitive or stressful because of rigid teaching styles. I want to change that. My goal is to make the Quran the favourite part of a child's day. I want to teach because nothing brings me greater joy than seeing a 5-year-old smile with pride when they finally master a difficult Arabic letter, or watching them proudly practise good Islamic manners with their parents.By combining my traditional background as a Hafiz with my modern university education, I am able to bridge the gap for children growing up in international environments, making Islam relatable, beautiful, and easy to love.

Interactive Quran Recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic Character Building for Kids.
Methodology: How I Teach My Lessons My teaching methodology is built on patience, high energy, and visual learning tools. I do not use dry, boring lectures. For young children, I break the lesson down into three distinct, engaging phases:The Warm-Up & Revision (5-10 mins): We start by reviewing the previous lesson through fun repetition or quick memory quizzes. This builds their confidence.The New Lesson (15-20 mins): I share my screen to show colourful, digital copies of the Qaida or Quran. I use digital pointers to show the child exactly where to look, focusing heavily on correct pronunciation (Makhraj).
Islamic Ethics & Storytime (5-10 mins): We end the lesson with an engaging story about the Prophets, or a discussion on a specific Islamic manner (Akhlaq), like kindness to parents or telling the truth.
Who My Lessons Are ForBeginners (Ages 4+): Children starting from absolute scratch with Arabic letters (Qaida).Intermediate Learners: Children who can read but need to learn Tajweed rules and smooth fluency.
Hifz Students: Young learners looking to memorise Juz Amma or become a Hafiz/Hafiza using proven memory techniques.
What Students Need for Class Since my classes are 100% online, students only need:A tablet, laptop, or computer with a working webcam and stable internet.A quiet room free from television or background distractions.A digital or physical copy of their learning book (which I will provide via PDF).
