About Amelie
I am in my third year of university, studying mathematics. Math is one of my major passions! I spent a lot of my high school career and beginning of university tutoring my friends or kids in my neighborhood in multiple subjects (but mostly math). I believe that math literacy is extremely important and is more useful than some might think. Overall I aspire to not only help students excel in math but also enjoy it.

Each lesson begins with a "warm-up", usually reviewing from a previous session. Students will have time to ask me clarification questions from our previous session if needed. Students will then present me with the topic of concentration for that days lesson. I will present a quick verbal overview of the topic, giving context to what this math is used for and different approaches to take. Then I use multiple practice problems, increasing in difficulty, we will do the first 2 together then I have the student attempt questions on their own. After each problem I will review the students work and clarify any confusions. The end of the lesson will be any last minute questions or help on assignments.
