I have a deep passion for the beauty of mathematics and use programming as a tool almost every day, to the point that I read math textbooks in my free time (I will not make you do this (most likely)).

I teach 1-2 hour sessions, one-on-one. Open to both high-schoolers and university students in mathematics and programming.
I have 3+ years of experience teaching programming, algorithms, and logic formally at the University of Sydney. I also have 2+ years of experience teaching one-on-one high-school students. I've covered everything from trigonometry to compiler design.
I have a knack at making the hardest topics accessible. If maths or programming scare you, or you feel like you keep missing the simplest things, I'm the person for you. I'm outgoing, love to chat, and the only extroverted mathematician/programmer you'll ever meet (maybe).
My teaching style is based around building confidence and intuition, and breaking things down into their simplest pieces.
With maths, I start by focusing on making sure all the foundations are solid and intuitive, as this always sets the path for understanding the later pieces. Maths is a giant puzzle piece and once you have the first pieces in place everything starts connecting so magically you'll start getting an adrenaline rush. (Yes, I read maths textbooks in my spare time... we all have our vices...).
With programming and algorithms, I start by making sure the basic building blocks are understood, and try to build it up piece by piece. Breaking things down to their bare essentials in programming always makes things feel so much easier, and that's an important skill that can be developed, not an innate talent.
