About Hester
I’m currently a university student at Massey University, completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Environmental Science. Throughout my schooling and university studies, Math has always been a subject I’ve genuinely enjoyed and felt confident in. I appreciate the logical thinking and problem-solving skills it develops, and I love helping others experience those “lightbulb moments” when concepts start to click. Alongside my studies, I have previously worked in hospitality, which has strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to connect with a wide range of people. I’m a friendly and approachable person who enjoys working with others and creating a positive, supportive environment. Outside of academics, I spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy making the most of nature whenever I can. I’m passionate about helping students grow in confidence, feel comfortable asking questions, and reach their full potential in Math.

I tailor every session to the individual student. Together, we’ll identify what needs to be covered and build a clear plan to tackle it. Lessons are structured but flexible — designed around your current goals, deadlines, and areas that need extra attention. Standard sessions are 60 minutes, with longer sessions available if needed (especially helpful during exam periods).
