About Nell
I have had success tutoring maths and English on video call at year 5 & 6 level for a non-English speaking child who had been struggling to keep up with school here, by providing intensive teaching over 3 months; she is now top of her class, and her English has improved conversationally in this time through speaking with me. I am currently studying History at Durham Uni, having done 3 A levels with an A* grade in each. I have experience tutoring GCSE English, and specialise in humanities at secondary school upwards. I have always been able to get on with children, and have 6 years worth of babysitting experience for over 10 families.

My speciality is providing regular online lessons (through video call) with one child, whose English needs improvement past conversational level. We focus on the core skills of their age group in Maths and English, as per the national curriculum, in lessons of 1-2 hours, from once or twice to several times a week. Through this their speaking abilities improve without them realising, because they spend this time focusing on areas that they find difficult in school, in an interesting and engaged way.
